I see God reflected in all creation and treasure the times I have paused to take in the wonder and majesty of His handy work.  I see the touch of God in every face, every flower and every sunset.   This awareness stirs a desire within me to become the person He created me to be.  To use the gifts and talents I have been given to bless others provides me with a deep sense of worth and great joy.

The inspiration for my writing comes from a desire to share the love I have for children and pets, both of which are innocent and pure.  As a child I was blessed to have had pets that filled in the empty places when I was lonely, gave me comfort when I was afraid and provided countless hours of fun and friendship.  In my adult life, I have experienced the gentle assurance of having a dog sit quietly at my feet while the world seemed to spin out of control.  I've also had my four legged friends meet  me at the backdoor after a long day of work with unabashed exuberance. Yipping and spinning with delight just to see me, no matter how haggard I looked or felt, was the ultimate "welcome home".   At those moments, I realized how beautifully God crafted our canine friends to demonstrate His very own nature: loving, dependable, devoted and incredibly happy just to spend time with you.

It is my hope that the stories I write will teach lessons and encourage a love of reading and language in children.   I also hope they will brighten the day of those who read them and provide a sense of joy and happiness in their hearts.
